I never wanted the ps3 to be hacked as the quality of games would go down hill over time and im sure that applies to over 99% of ps3 users including those here but this is really gona get the hackers even more determined now and if the ps3 is hacked in the near future i hope sony look back and realise the removal of linux actually excellerated the the speed and determination of the hackers to open up the system. f*uck u sony for screwing over the genuine ps3 users and if your system is hacked in the near future youve only brought it on yourselves.I suppose the 500 euro+ ive spent on ps3 games and psn downloads will be put on hold for the near future as i for one will not be forced to update to firmware 3.21 which forces the removal of a feature i paid for.

You guys need to watch out with new games you buy in the coming months, and possibly even bluray movies. I'm sure sony will put that update on all the new releases. It would suck to spend $60 and then find out you not only can't return the game after opening the box, but can't play it without losing zerogame either.

I wish all EU PS3 owners would demand that $100 PS3 refund just to give Sony some hurt. 8-10 millions users claiming it = $800 million to $1 billion.

Sigh... Well, Sony seems to be pretty insistent on those who keep Linux either just taking it with no lube, or pushing them to hack the console. These guys are really starting to tick me off.

Well, Sony's removal of 'Other OS' doesn't keep hackers from doing what they want to do...but it could keep 'normal' users from using some of the hacks the hackers come up with. If the hackers come up with custom firmwares (CFW), though, that's easy for 'normal' users to use anyway.

Well, feel safe knowing that I need Zerogame more than PSN. With few recent exceptions, I've found better games in my roms list than on PS3 store shelves.

I'm at work so I haven't been able to test this, but...does Heavy Rain and FFXIII play without PSN?

the OS Feature isnt even strong enough to run PS3 games (pirated), why the hell would they take it off? wtf man
